Good afternoon readers! Here I am back on the blog to tell you about a "new" highly anticipated reprint: the movie tie-in version of Red, White and Blue Blood by Casey McQuiston. We met this novel in 2019 and loved it right away.

A true, spontaneous and funny love story between two young people who for various reasons cannot be together as they would like an LGBTQ+ love story which is now about to become a film on prime video starring the actors Nicholas Galitzine (Purple Hearts, New York Academy and Cinderella) and Taylor Zakhar Perez (The kissing booth 2 and The kissing booth 3).

I've been putting off reading this novel for years waiting for the film to come out because I know myself very well and I know that if I read the book first and then see the film based on that novel, I'm very likely not to like it. Don't get me wrong, it was very hard to keep from reading it when all BookTok and - in general - all readers of Casey McQuiston go crazy for the story of Henry and Alex. I don't know how but I did it haha.

Now I can't wait to see this film, to love it, to talk about it with you, to get attached to the characters (because even just by watching the trailer I've already started to love the two protagonists, I love everything). I have really high expectations though, Prime Video, be prepared for all my criticisms because I will make a dedicated post on my Instagram page and I will certainly talk about it in stories too.

Ready to finally see this movie? In the meantime, I suggest you buy this wonderful new edition of the book.

Buon pomeriggio lettori! Eccomi tornata sul blog per parlarvi di una "nuova" attesissima ristampa: la versione movie tie-in di Rosso, bianco e sangue blu di Casey McQuiston abbiamo conosciuto questo romanzo nel 2019 e lo abbiamo amato fin da subito.

Una storia d'amore vera, spontanea e divertente tra due giovani che per svariati motivi non possono stare insieme come vorrebbero una storia d'amore LGBTQ+ che ora sta per diventare un film su prime video con protagonisti gli attori Nicholas Galitzine (Purple Hearts, New York Academy e Cenerentola) e Taylor Zakhar Perez (The kissing booth 2 e The kissing booth 3).

Ho rimandato la lettura di questo romanzo per anni in attesa dell'uscita del film perché mi conosco molto bene e so che se leggo prima il libro e poi vedo il film tratto da quel romanzo è molto probabile che quest'ultimo non mi piaccia. Non fraintendetemi, è stato molto complicato da trattenersi dal leggerlo quando tutto BookTok e - in generale - tutti i lettori di Casey McQuiston impazziscono per la storia di Henry e Alex. Non so come ma ce l'ho fatta ahah.

Ora non vedo l'ora di vedere questo film, di amarlo, di parlarne con voi, di affezionarmi ai personaggi (perché anche soltanto guardando il trailer ho già iniziato ad amare i due protagonisti, adoro ogni cosa). Ho veramente alte aspettative però, Prime Video, preparati a tutte le mie critiche perché farò un post dedicato sulla mia pagina Instagram e sicuramente ne parlerò anche nelle storie.

Pronti per vedere finalmente questo film? Nel frattempo vi consiglio di acquistare questa stupenda nuova edizione del libro.
